Pediatrics and Homeopathy
Join us with one of the foremost experts on children and homeopathy. Learn how do you take the case of a child and how it differs from adult case taking. Learn how to take both an acute and chronic case and how to recognize when a case is acute or chronic. Perinatal states of the mother or father during pregnancy or conception and how they could influence the child's state will be reviewed. Acute conditions such as colds, flus, ear infections and chronic conditions such as ADHD and autism will be covered.
Advanced Pediatric Therapeutics
This course is aimed at practicing clinicians or advanced naturopathic medicine students who are seeking practical naturopathic pediatric education. The focus will be on acute and chronic management of pediatric cases from infancy to adolescence with an eclectic range of natural therapeutics. Much of the course will be designed around case studies, useful materials for day-to-day pediatric practice and clinical pearls. The course syllabus includes: dosing guidelines for naturopathic and conventional treatments, telephone triage of patients, fever protocols, work-up and treatment for growth concerns, the top ten pediatric complaints with workup and treatment options, newborn care and conditions, pediatric procedure skills, and management of acute office visits. There will also be an opportunity for interactive case studies and a Q&A on pediatric special topics of your choosing.
